CMLI Craftbubble challenge and Dottie's world challenge.

This was done in a bit of a hurry as I really do need to get that wrapping done! Hubby has gone out, so I best get on with it! The CMLI challenge this week has a fab sketch set by Karen and the twist is " Keep it simple" This is a digi image from Charmed cards and crafts and they also have a challenge running which is anything goes blue so hence all my blue on this card.  The papers are from pink petticoat.

Baby's First Christmas.

I have just become an aunty to a gorgeous little boy and this is his Christmas card.  The image is from Lili of the valley.

I'm coming back to blogging!

Thanks for all the lovely messages and cards I received whilst I was in plaster. The hand is much better, still a bit stiff but i am now able to get back to crafting a little. I have been a bit busy this weekend trying to get some last minute cards done. A big thanks to the awards that I receieved.  I will put those on here later, but I also need to get some wrapping done and still a few more cards, and don't even mention the word housework!!

Here are my Magnolia cards:

A big thanks to the lovely Lauren for the beautiful die cut wings and snowflakes. Thanks hunny. xx

this weeks craftbubble challenge

The lovely debs has set this weeks challenge on craftbuuble's cmli group. luckily i had done this before i broke a bone in my right hand. apologis for the lack of capitals and spelling mistakes but left handed typing when you are right handed is hard going.. the theme was going postal. i decided to go all sepia for a change. anyway looks like there's going to be a serious lack of crafting from me,  hopefully only until next thursday when the plaster comes off and hopefully i won't need another one..

This one owes a big thanks to Lauren who kindly sent me this image last year.  Isn't she a cutie?

Don't you just love Pink Petticoat papers?

In honour of Katie's rise to the pink petticoat design team I have made this card using the pretty gingham papers that you can buy at pink petticoat.  They are absolutely fab for stitching on as well, as the lines really help you keep that stitching straight! Well done Katie, you so deserve that DT place. xx

Pretty in purple.

I thought that this fairy just sparkled for Christmas. xx

Totally Tilda and Just magnolia challenge.

I loved the sketch by DawnyP on the JustMagnolia challenge blog and I loved the idea of glitter and sparkle on the Totally Tilda challenge blog, so I have combined the two here! It's a gorgeous sketch and one that I would use again.  There is glitter and sparkle on my card all around my flowers and around my sentiment and I have added a border of glitter as well. I have also sparkled her hat and the scrolls.  It is musch mopre sparkly in real life though I promise you!  I was just a tad annoyed when I managed to smudge Tilda's eye though which does spoil it a bit.  Ho hum!

Craftbubble CMLI challenge.

This week our very own talented Karen set the theme on CMLI on Craftbubble and she also set us the challenge of " Santa". I really had to dig around  for this stamp! It's not well loved or used and I don't really do this kinda  Traditional Santa. Still it was nice to trip down memory lane and I even got the old watercolour pencils out for this one! I haven't used these for ages either!

Elzybells closure.

It's always sad when a stamp company closes and for me it's really sad to know that on 30th September Elzybells will close for good. On the plus side I have been buying up lots of the stamps that I have had my eye on for ages and at the weekend I had a lovely play with some of my new and old Elzybells.

Dottie's World Challenge.

This week on Dottie's world the challenge is The Great Outdoors. A big thanks to Karen at Charmed cards and crafts as well as I won the Dottie's World challenge whilst I was on holiday and she was kind enough to honour this when I got back, so I had ten pounds to spend in the shop and I bought a couple of the lovely Annie stamps with my winnings.
I have kept this card nice and simple and let the image speak for itself.

Craftbubble CMLI challenges.

Here are a couple of cards that I did for the CMLI group challenges that happened whilst I was on holiday.

Thanks so much for all the blog awards I have been honored with whilst I was away.  I will post them on my blog later. You are all so kind. Thanks also to my friends on CMLI on Craftbubble for posting up the challenges whilst I was away. I will post up pics of those I missed and hopefully start to get back to normal as soon as possible.

Sunday Dottie's World challenge.

This week over on Dottie's World the challenge was set by Karen and she challenges us to frame it with a few dots!

So for this week I have used a Nellie Snellen die to frame this gorgeous Pixie chick and definitely one of my faves! I have surrounded her with pearly beads for my dots and a few roses.

Craft Mad and loving it challenge 4

This week Cherry stepped in as DT member and gave us a fab sketch with the added twist of making our own background papers. Here I have used some shaving foam, inkabilities ink and a heat gun and I also made the little kite! The image is one of the ones I won from Charmed cards and crafts.

New Dottie's World challenge.

This week, the challenge on Dottie's world was to make a card for a man with the added twist of including some ribbon. I have used George here and I think he's having a night down the pub with his mates! I have kept it clean and simple!  This also fits in with the Lothian crafts challenge! Yay!
