Trying to be adventurous!

This year I have set myself the mini challenge of trying out different card shapes and types. I bought myself a scorpal buddy ( Love it) and I have been playing with various folds. I also bought some Magnolia stamps in the January sales, so I have a lot of lovely things to play with.....I shall be playing after I have posted here and had a spot of lunch as I have got up early this morning, completed household chores and am not setting foot outside the door !! It's still treacherous! The children are enjoying it...but I'm not! Still it's an excuse to saty in the warm, put on some music and craft to my heart's content!
So first up is my cascade card effort!
I have used an older Magnolia image, coloured with copics, flowers from my friend Diane, for Christmas, an old Marianne die, Magnolia stamped sentiment and pin from Wild Orchid crafts. Can't remember where the papers came from!

Next up is a gatefold card. This was nice and easy to make! Very little effort required!

And finally a criss cross card. this took the longest to make as it involved sewing and measuring!
All very different for me! The embossing folder is from Crafts too and was a new one for Christmas and the stamp is also a new one, Bought with Christmas money! It's been simply embellished and very carefully coloured!
I'm still in Christmas mode, aren't I?! All this frosty, snowy weather though just makes me feel quite festive! Bring out the choccies!!!

But all worth it as these are all splendid, Rosie.

Don't blame you for not wanting to set foot outside, especially if you have the same as we do in Bristol. We've had no fresh snow and (fortunately) what we have had didn't freeze overnight but I think you do right to stay snug in the warm and CRAFT your little socks off!!!

three awesome cards! Well done on making a start on your 2013 Christmas pile already!
I love the way you have set yourself the challenge of shaped cards. I always think that they look good but when it comes ot making a card it is so tempting to take the easy option and take a normal card blank...
Love to see what you come up with this year.
Stay warm this weekend x
