This was a quick and easy make, just snippets of card, the stamps, a small handful of promarkers and a very old sizzix tag die that hasn't seen the light of day for a very long time. I've been sifting through old stash with the mindset to get rid of it....it didn't work, but I have actually fallen back in love with old stash and that's definitely a good thing! ❤️

Craftyrosehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00814840216839550410noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1654096113378488103.post-57956260489895609212023-07-01T11:28:00.001+01:002023-07-01T11:28:06.321+01:00Less is more.

My friend Kathy over at purple princess diaries has had the stamp set christmas characters by inkadinkado for years and I have always 😍 the set. I recently saw it for sale on ebay for just a couple of pounds. Well, I just couldn't resist and so I popped them in my basket and checked out. I am delighted by them and, in her honour, as her favourite colour is purple and the fact that she loves clean and simple, here is my first make with them. I'm going to enter it in to the less is more challenge too as I know she loves the less is more challenge blog , so hopefully she will see this post. Thanks my friend, for your great taste in stamps and for your very good listening ears. This one is for you.

Craftyrosehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00814840216839550410noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1654096113378488103.post-60950113930002753102021-11-04T13:28:00.005+00:002021-11-04T13:28:00.191+00:00Old coloured images
Does anyone else have a little pile of coloured images just waiting for a card host? Well, I did have, but I have thrown a few away as I wasn’t happy with them but I saved this one which I think I coloured with copics. I found it quite helpful to limit my ingredients as it forced me not to be distracted by stash hunting and decision making. Sometimes I find myself just looking through stash rather than creating, so pulling it out beforehand and not allowing myself to wander made me more creative. I have a few Martha Stewart punches and I love them but don’t use them enough so I’m digging them out for play! They are so much quicker than the big shot! The sentiment stamps are a stampin up set and I think I can do a lot more with them....hmm ideas are flowing! Time to take stock and just use this little place to keep a record of my makes.

Here’s my first creation after a longish period of Mojo loss. I have used some old echo park papers, almost at the end of that paper pad😄, a penny black sentiment, years old.. and a new stamp from Lili of the valley which is called festive reindeer. My image has been coloured with promarkers and inked the edges with vintage photo distress ink. The dies are from a set called ‘funky festive ‘by Tim Holtz.
Craftyrosehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00814840216839550410noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1654096113378488103.post-75957270380575096032020-06-03T14:22:00.000+01:002020-06-03T14:22:20.086+01:00HelloIt’s been a long time since I have posted anything on here. My dear friend Kathy advised me that blogger had changed so I thought I should check it out. I couldn’t use blogger on iPad as I had trouble uploading photos, but looks like I can now. So here’s a thank you card I made another dear friend recently. I used a beautiful penny black image for this one. It’s been coloured with copics and prismacolor pencils.

Craftyrosehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00814840216839550410noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1654096113378488103.post-8086143597927316702019-08-11T18:45:00.001+01:002019-08-11T18:45:53.791+01:00New Penny Black Saturday challenge. Here’s my entry for the new Penny Black Saturday challenge Which has the optional theme of watercolour/water. The stamp is called fish are jumpin and looking at the date on it it’s from 2001. I don’t think Penny Black stamps age though and I do just love them. I’ve coloured this one with promarkers and is easily suitable for a male. Love it!
Yay, school is out for the summer so I finally have time to craft and time to sort out my craft stuff! Sometimes you can have just too much stuff that you no longer use, so I plan to destash over the next few weeks. I already have a bag of bits and pieces that I know my nephew will make the most of as he has the crafting bug and had used all the stuff I previously gave him. Anyway, I have played with distress inks and came up with this little card. I’m going to enter it in to the Polkadoodles challenge. The stamp is called “just for you Winnie” and is perfect for a girlie birthday.
What a lovely sunny morning it is too. I finished this little lovely off last night. She has been coloured with distress markers. The papers are old dovecraft ones. I’m enjoying going through my mahoosive stack of Lili of the valley rubber stamps as I’m sorry to see they are going to stop them and you will only be able to get the digi versions. I love my digis too, but there’s just something about rubber stamps for me that feels like they are properly handmade.
I picked up these mermaid downloads from polkadoodles and I have to say that I love them. These images are precoloured, so great, when you need a card in a hurry and don’t have much time to spare.
It takes ages to colour with pencils and this one is no exception. It took a good few hours to get all of these layers down on the image. I used prismacolour pencils as I don’t yet have enough Caran D’Ache to get the effect I wanted for this little lady. She is a Candibean stamp that I have had in my stash for ages and I just fancied colouring her up to add to my 2019 Christmas cards collection. Her little dogs are so cute and I had one of these as a child. I am going to enter this card in to Di’s digi challenge where the theme is snow much fun.Craftyrosehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00814840216839550410noreply@blogger.com7
