I hope that you all had a great Christmas and that Santa was kind to you. He was to me and he brought me some lovely crafty things! Dies being one of them! Here is a selection of both Christmas 2014 and a few Christmas 2015 cards, as I am being super organised this year and have made quite a few cards already! I don't know what's come over me! Probably the fact that I have been so flipping cold here without water and heating due to the boiler breaking down and that was weeks ago! And it's like friends reunited seeing all my crafty stuff again! It's finally been completed today and oh how lovely it is to be warm and not sit in your hat, scarf and gloves inside your house! So crafting is glorious!!

Waiting for Christmas.
I ordered the Magnolia Christmas stampclub kit as I haven't ever been disappointed with these and this little collection was no exception. This is the first one I have coloured up and I'm really pleased with how she turned out.

Elzybells Christmas
Ok, so I am very, very behind with my Christmas cards, so little time, too many to make, so I'm just going to see how many I do and not not stress myself out about it. I do love these Elzybells images and I'm going to be playing with a few so that they don't feel nelected. They are so simple and lovely to colour and they are great for paper piecing . I'm not feeling a bit festive , but hey ho, onwards and upwards!

See you all in September, but for now it's over and out. xxx

Sarah Kay beauty.
I just love these Sarah Kay images, they are so sweet and it's a such a shame that Stampavie went out of business. I have a significant collecton of these and thought it might be nice to colour one of them up. I've gone for blue as I used some of the gorgeous papers that my friend Diane gave to me. My image has been coloured with copics and prisma pencils and the flowers are a mixture of die cuts from magnolia and whiff of joys. The larger blue flowers have been sprayed with cosmic shimmer. My trusty old sewing machine has also made an appearance.

Lace and pearls at Dis digi designs challenge.
Another fortnight gone and August already. Where does the time go? It's a vile morning here in Bath, heavy rain and very dark, so no going out, but opportunities to craft instead methinks. This fortnight sees lace and pearls as the challenge over at Dis. We'd love it if you joined us.

Happy Birthday Troy.
So I have a lovely family barbeque later with my brother-in-law, his partner and their children as the youngest one is seven today. I can't believe that's seven years ago! Where does the time go? Anyway, he's a bit of a dude, so I made this card for him for today. I always find masculine cards quite difficult. I love my embellishments and you can't do that on boys cards! Anyway, hope he likes it!

Friends.
This will be shortly on its way to a very special friend of mine. I hope she likes it! I have used stampin up papers which came from my firend in my goody box as did the ribbon and butterfly charm. I have also used a range of dies and vintage photo distress ink. The image has been coloured with copics and prisma pencil. The sentiment is a stampin up on form the bloomin marvelous set.

Bookatrix card
I picked up this bookatrix board recently, second hand but cheap as chips and dusted off some peel offs that I have had for years as I was feeling a bit nostalgic. My lovely friend, Diane recently emigrated and in clearing out her house she so very kindly sent her daughter round with the most mahoosive boxes of Craft goodies. I cannot tell you the words to describe the feeling of being in awe of craft stuff you've never seen before! Loads, and I mean loads of fab stamps, stickers, stashes of paper delights, all sorts of embellishments, charms, ribbons, lace, pretty flowers, dies and even a fimo manchester united chap, so that hubby didn't feel left out! And, and, and a Penny Black stamp that I have been wanting for years! I cannot believe the generosity of my lovely friend, but and it's a big but, I'd have preferred that she could have moved nearer to me instead, so that we could have played with stash together!
Anyway, here's a gorjuss girl that has never seen ink before as are the butterflies, along with my friend's ribbon and flowers and the metal flower centre.
If you're reading this Diane, I'll email soon and I promise I'm in the process of crafting a card. xx

New Di's digi challenge.
It's a very storym day here in Bath, thunder is crashing around the valley, the rain is torrential and the flashes of lightening light up a very dark house. It's been two days of it now! We had a brief respite yesterday in the day time but so far since midnight last night it's been going on and on..any thoughts of going to the Bristol Harbour festival have been abandoned...such a shame! Anyway, it's perfect get stuck in to your crafting weather! So the new challenge over at Di's today is punches and dies. Here's my little card using a lovely fairy digi from Di's store and what a cutie she is.
Do come and join us.

Morning all.
I'm just on my way out.....got new glasses to pick up...so will have to come back and edit this later on today. Anyway, over at Dis digi designs challenge we have a new challenge and it's ribbon and bows so a nice easy one.
Love, love love this cute image, reminds me of a painting I had on my wall as a child that my grandad gave me. He died when I was very young ( three) but I remember him so well as he used to spend lots of time with us. I have coloured this little cutie with my copics and the papers are freebies from a mag. Back later to enter this card into a few challenges, but don't have time just now! Not forgetting the eye strain!!

I want to improve my colouring skills.
I have recently been taking Alyce Keegans copic colouring class. She is an absoloute inspiration. I first took the whimsy class before then moving on to the skin and hair class and I love it. So much information and so much to learn and it has helped me to look at images in a different light literally! Who would have thought light source would be so complicated! So I made this card from one of Alyce's classes and it went off to a lovely friend over in Bristol. i was pretty proud of it and so that's why it went over to someone very special, who is a princess in her own right. xxxx She knows who she is!!
It took an absolute age to make, especially the colouring, but I just hope that she liked it! xx My colouring still needs a lot of work but I'm much more mindful of where I put my darks and lights and why!
Happy playing with markers.
I'm always at my happiest with my markers in my hand and a pretty image to colour. Then the fun is dressing the card up. the image is a cute Saturated Canary digi.

Feeling blue?
My hand is much better today. Not completely healed but half way there. I spied this gorgeous digi over at Saturated Canary, it's called Pixie Nerd, and have had great fun colouring her in blue, using promarkers. I think I'll enter this card into the Passion for promarkers challenge, which is add a sentiment. Fortunatley this lovely digi comes complete with a sentiment too.

Easter challenge over at Di's digi designs
Another fortnight has passed. Where does the time go? This time Di's design team have been playing with some of her lovely Easter designs. Here's my little lovely. I wanted to put a sentiment on it, but having slashed the palm of my hand with a knife this week, it's proving a little painful to hold things and is quite sore!
Do pop over and join our lovely challenge though as Easter isn't far away now!
I have made this digi quite large, one of the beauties of digital images and she has been coloured with promarkers. It's almost quite CAS for me as there aren't any additional flowers, but I wanted the lovely detailed image to be my focal point.

Restoration!
I have been feeling somewhat nostalgic in my old age and have had a go at some restoration projects recently!
she looks like this.
So you may be thinking I have gone completely mad in my old age, but actually it's quite therapeutic seeing things that would have been probably thrown away being given new life and I've really enjoyed creating. It's a bit of a change from card making but I'm enjoying it for now!
Before After
I have re-styled and conditioned the hair and knitted the outfit for this one.
Next up this one has had all of her new hair sewn in plug by plug by me as well as the tiny eyelashes. I almost gave up I confess as this one took me ages and gave me very sore fingers! But her face has changed so much now she has all of her lashes!

The next one had a broken leg, so I fixed her by restringing the body, so now she works again and the hair was all matted, so I have fixed this too.
And finally this one had blue dyed hair and wasn't in a good state as she looked like this. So I sorted out the hair and made her a new dress and now................Before |
