New Penny Black Saturday challenge.

Here’s my entry for the new Penny Black Saturday challenge Which has the optional theme of watercolour/water. The stamp is called fish are jumpin and looking at the date on it it’s from 2001. I don’t think Penny Black stamps age though and I do just love them. I’ve coloured this one with promarkers and is easily suitable for a male. Love it!

Goldie mermaid

Here’s a card I have had fun making today using Goldie from whimsy stamps. I just loved playing with my distress markers, dies and glossy accents and glitter glue. I’m entering this one in to Dis digi challenge blog where the theme is wings or tails and doesn’t she have an amazing tail?

Penny Black deliciousness

I have a growing collection of Penny Black rubber stamps and I love them all. I don’t dig them out often enough, so I am making a concerted effort to use them a bit more.  I have decided to play along with Penny black Saturday challenge blog where the theme is anything goes with the optional theme of food/drink. Hope you like it! My image has been painted with distress inks.

Polkadoodles, holidays and school is out!

Yay, school is out for the summer so I finally have time to craft and time to sort out my craft stuff! Sometimes you can have just too much stuff that you no longer use, so I plan to destash over the next few weeks. I already have a bag of bits and pieces that I know my nephew will make the most of as he has the crafting bug and had used all the stuff I previously gave him. Anyway, I have played with distress inks and came up with this little card. I’m going to enter it in to the Polkadoodles challenge. The stamp is called “just for you Winnie” and is perfect for a girlie birthday.

Forever friends.

Another day, a different Lili of the valley stamp! I love these little fairies and I have coloured them with distress markers. I really dug out some old stash for this card! The flowers date back to my very early days of crafting. I have loads of them and I am challenging myself to dig deep in to the narnia of craft supplies !

Fairy on tip toe.

Morning all. What a lovely sunny morning it is too. I finished this little lovely off last night. She has been coloured with distress markers. The papers are old dovecraft ones. I’m enjoying going through my mahoosive stack of Lili of the valley rubber stamps as I’m sorry to see they are going to stop them and you will only be able to get the digi versions. I love my digis too, but there’s just something about rubber stamps for me that feels like they are properly handmade.

Lili of the valley - Never too old for a hug.

It’s my mum’s birthday soon and I am trying to get ahead with cards I will need. I have dug out some old Lili of the valley stamps and I love them 😍 . I also decided to play with my distress markers. I need plenty more practice, but I like how this all came together and I’m not gonna lie, this took me a while to make.

Polkadoodles crazy.

I know, I don’t post here very much, but I like to keep a record of what I make/or rather like, so here is as good a place as any! I picked up these mermaid downloads from polkadoodles and I have to say that I love them. These images are precoloured, so great,  when you need a card in a hurry and don’t have much time to spare.

I think it’s worth entering them in to the polkadoodles challenge, where the theme is anything goes.

Pencil practice

It takes ages to colour with  pencils and this one is no exception. It took a good few hours to get all of these layers down on the image. I used prismacolour pencils as I don’t yet have enough Caran D’Ache to get the effect I wanted for this little lady. She is a Candibean stamp that I have had in my stash for ages and I just fancied colouring her up to add to my 2019 Christmas cards collection. Her little dogs are so cute and I had one of these as a child. I am going to enter this card in to Di’s digi challenge where the theme is snow much fun.

New pencils

Every now and again I buy craft stash .... ok quite often! Sometimes something just gives you a wow moment and I bought the smallest set of Caran D’Ache pencils after watching a Jennifer McGuire video on YouTube. She has a lot to answer for! 😂 Anyway, she’s not wrong about these pencils being the “copics of the pencil world “ . They beat prismacolour pencils on every level being wax pencils and they don’t break like the prismas do, also their vibrancy and lack of wax bloom just put them on another level. I know I will have to buy a larger set at some point so had better start saving my pennies! Here’s a wee card I have made using the stamps that I also love by MFT.

Fairy Wings.

As we are now in January, I’m thinking of all those birthday cards I need to make for the special people in my life. This little fairy card will be going to my first cousin three times removed, who will be three at the end of January. I have used a Lili of the valley image called fairy wings, rose garden first edition papers and all the die cuts are magnolia dies, apart from the label shaped one which is a spellbinder die. The image has been coloured with promarkers and although you can’t see the glitter I have blinged it up with glamour dust and wink of Stella pen all over the dress. I have also used a craftwork card sentiment from that ever growing sentiment stash😉

Sunday Greens with a bit of love.

See  I just love this inkadinkado stamp set and I particularly love this little snowman. This was a quick and easy make, just snippets of ...
