Alice in Wonderland

Here's my tri-shutter card.....I have a bit of a thinmg about these at the moment! Thanks to my crafty pal Lauren for being kind enough to send me these images. I have a relative who is Alice mad, so this is for her. x

New Craftbubble CMLI group challenge.

This week, we played it a little bit differently.  We decided to set the challenge of getting the first person to post a card on our new thread, would be the one that we all did.  In this way, the design team could also take part in the challenge. First past the post was the lovely Debs who made a stunning Lili of the valley card.  She gave the twist of dreams.
Here is my interpretation of her sketch and theme. I have gone for " dream like state of mind"

House mouse

Awh I am still in love with house mouse. I needed a quick anniversary card and this was sooooo quick to do but the image says it all!

A couple of easter quickies.

Here are a couple of Easter quickies that I made at the weekend using a forever friends cdrom. Sometimes, when you don't have a lot of time to make stamped cards a cd can help you out and I think that they still look pretty!

Lauren's new cmli group craftbubble challenge.

Lauren wanted us to show off our birthday bling and by this she meant for us to show our ballons and streamers etc! I have gone for a tri-shutter card.  It's the first time I have made one of these and although it was time consuming I am quite pleased with it!

New cd - double sprinkles of Kraft.

if you like Polka doodles and willow designs then youi'll love the new cd that's just been released. I just adore the lovely papers on this cd and the sentiments are stunning.  I haven't had much chance to play, but here are two cards made using this collection.

Blog awards

Many thanks to you all over the past few months for my blog awards.  I know I never get around to thanking you all and posting the bits that many of them require! I am, it seems, hopeless! So, to all of you who have been kind enough to bestow them on me, thank you very much.  Maybe one day I'll get around to posting them all up! Off for a bit of retail therapy now. xx

Buttons and bows.

This week on the Sunday themed challenge on CMLI group, Craftbubble I set the theme of buttons and bows. as luck would have it, this is also the theme on Mo's digital pencil challenge blog.  I have been making Easter cards this weekend and I just took the one image of Mo's and applied lots of colours and variations. Sorry for posting so many of the same image, but they were so gorgeous and different I had to include them all!

Lothian crafts challenge.

This month on the lothian crafts challenge the theme is 3 flowers and three buttons. Well I have a heap of Easter cards to make and when I saw this cutey pie on Mos Digital pencil I just had to buy her.....ok and a few more...you know me too well! She has been coloured with my promarkers and I have used up some ribbon I had last year and an off cut of pink petticoat paper that I printed for another project. I have made a few more, but I have a new camera that hubby bought me for my birthday which was given to me as an April fools present, and I'm still trying to suss it out!!

Card for my niece.

The house mouse stamp collection keeps growing as does my acquisition of them! I just can't resist them!  This one has been coloured with promarkers and plenty of stickles glitter on that frosted icing. Papers are Pink Petticoat, which I also just can't get enough of!

Card for a man.

I bought a stamp plate of these Sheena Douglass stamps to try, and I have to say that I am very pleased with how they stamp. I have coloured this with distress inks.  I am still getting used to them, but I do like the effect that they give here. Promarkers are good, but sometimes you want something a little less " printed", if you know what I mean, and these inks certainly fit the bill.  The papers are Pink Petticoat.

Time to get those stripes out.

This week in the CMLI group on Craftbubble, our uber talented Karen has set us a fantabulous sketch and a twist of getting out our stripes.  I have chosen, this time, to use a very cute Lili of the valley image and some Christmas stripey paper, stripey ribbon and a stripey cuttlebug embossing folder. I think I'm seeing stripes now!

Polka doodles.

Suzilou, this one's for you! For the kindness of the lady who donated some sewing stuff to you today.  You'll know what I mean ;0)

castle combe

Hubby and I went to Castle Combe today. Had a lovely day out, but my wasn't it chilly?! Everywhere we went people commented on how cold it was! So where has spring gone?

This week's I love promarkers challenge.

This week on I love promarkers challenge blog they have a challenge of Green and purple using your promarkers.  i don't very often get chance to join in with this challenge but this week, being on holiday I have! My new Magnolias arrived and I have had great fun making this card. I have really gone to town with glitter, buttons, beads, gems, stitching, ribbon and paper piecing! I'm very pleased with how it's turned out!

Another Polka Doodles!

Here's another Polka Doodles card made with the leftovers from Cherry's sketch card.

Cherry set the sketch this week.

The lovely Cherry set the sketch and twist on this weeks CMLI group.  It was quite a busy sketch and certainly required some thinking about. Here's mine.  I have used a polka Doodles cdrom for both the papers and image.

Mo Manning extravaganza.

Ok, I admit it.....I'm also addicted to Mo's gorgeous images! Here's a few I made earlier! I just love digi stamps!!

Another card made with the leftovers!!

Waste not, want not!  I couldn't let the leftovers form making the snowdrop card go to waste! Here's another one using up some bits and pieces.

Kathy's Sunday themed challenge.

Continuing in Kathy's " all white" frame of mind she has now challenged us today to make something with snowdrops or be inspired by snowdrops.  I knew that I didn't have any stamped images of snowdrops, so I decided to dust off my Joanna Sheen CDRoms and had a browse through them. I love looking through the images and I found this one in my The Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady set of cds. It's a nice simple card, but I do thinki that it's very pretty and spring like!

Saturdays CMLI challenge on Craftbubble.

It was Kathy's turn to set the challenge on the CMLI group Saturday challenge and she has gone " all white" on us! Her challenge was to make a card using a DL size card ( not my fave size to work on I have to say) and also she wanted to see white space! White space? I tell you my face went white when my jaw hit the ground!  I am not a white space person and so this was hard for me as my card screamed " nakedness!" I used one of the lovely house mouse stamps from Joanna Sheen.  I adore these stamps and want the whole collection!  I just wish JS wouldn't bring so many out at a time!!!!!

Here's a card I made today using a Mo Manning image

She's Alice from Mo's Alice In Wonderland collection. I have coloured her with promarkers and made the background using a Tin Holtz stencil, distress inks amd a gold shimmer spray. I have then finished off with two stamps that were free with Craft Stamper last month and a sentiment stamp from Whimsy stamps.

Christmas recipe challenge 2 on CMLI.

Clare set the recipe this fortnight on the CMLI group.  This time her recipe was:

 As white as a ghost
A touch of traditional colours
A present
A knot or bow.

I have used a gorgeous Mo Manning image called Scrooge, who is as white as a ghost as he has seen the ghost of his old friend Marley!

A birthday card for a fellow crafter

Here's a birthday card I made for a fellow crafter.  She has had her birthday now, so it's safe to post!

A Christmas challenge

Here's a Tilda card I made for my Christmas recipe challenge on CMLI.

My themed challenge on CMLI

Here is the card I made for the themed challenge I set on CMLI which is " Sweet dreams".  I have used a gorgeous house mouse design.

I feel like I have been ill for ages!

I feel like I have been ill for ages and have a few cards to post here. So I'm just going to post them all and then try and start afresh again.

These are all the CMLI challenges I have not posted until now! Apologies to the not naming of the individuals who set the challenges. xx

Whiff of Joy challenge.

Can you tell that I have been seriously deprived of my crafting after breaking a bone in  my hand? Well, it's been getting plenty of colouring practice today! I decided that I need to use more of the gorgeous Whiff of joy stamps that I own and so I popped over to the whiff of joy challenge blog and found a lovely sketch to use.  I will only just get this challenge in on time, but I think I'll be playing again some time soon! I have used one of the stamps from the Fall 2009 stamp kit.

New Lils.

Here are a couple of Lili of the valley cards. The girl in the feather boa is going to be entered into Lauren's challenge on the CMLI group to restore, renew, recycle as I made this card using scraps of cards and papers from previous projects and the ribbon was from a present I had at Christmas. the die cut flowers were made with scraps of old card as well. The stamp was new but it was " renewed" as it was the first time I have stamped with it!!

New craftbubble challenge. CMLI group.

Well I am so pleased to be back on the DT at CMLI group on craftbubble. This time our lovely Lauren set the sketchie to start off the new year with the twist of making a thank you card. I have used a fab Elzybell's image with an unusual grey/blue colour scheme which devaites form the norm for me!

Sunday Greens with a bit of love.

See  I just love this inkadinkado stamp set and I particularly love this little snowman. This was a quick and easy make, just snippets of ...
