Easter

I'm so behind on everything! It's Easter next weekend and I always send Easter cards, but I am struggling to get them done, so I reached for an old CD that I have " Me to You Spring chic". I had forgotten these pretties and it was great to get out old craft stuff that has been sitting in the cupboard waiting for an outing! I dug out my peel offs and paper flowers that have just been gathering dust, and my decoupage snips and pinflair glue. It was quite therapeutic to cut out the little tiny pieces. Better get cracking though....pardon the pun as it's my Dad's 70th on the 7th April and I haven't made a card yet!

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all those mums out there. I hope you have all had  awonderful day. This is the card that I made for my own Mum. She loved it, thank goodness!

Lots of green.

Oh dear I'm late posting this one. Had a very busy day yesterday lots of running around like a headless chicken and forgot which week we were on! More running around today, but I have found my head!

 

My green card is St Patrick's Day inspired...these little dis digi mice are so cute! I have become obsessed with wee mice! 

House mouse Easter.

I do love mice images....amazing really as I hate the real life critters! I saw this stamp and thought it would be perfect for my Easter makes...some not all! My image has been coloured with promarkers and prisma pencils and for me it's embellishment light! I resisted the temptation to put my flowers all over it as I didn't want to distract the eye from the oh so sweet image!

Birthday celebrations!

Another fortnight passed and it's time to add another Di's digi downloads challenge. This week, fitting for me, being a birthday girl tomorrow, it's birthdays!

I have made two little creations for the challenge in honour of being a birthday girl.....both coloured with promarkers.

This fortnight the theme is lots of embellishments over at Di's Digi designs. Right up my street then! This cute card has been coloured with promarkers! makes a change doesn't it? Many thanks to my friend Di, currently enjoying living in Spain, for the pretty flowers used on this card.

Have a heart!

Another fortnight passed and boo hoo...I'm still not 100% better, but the antibiotics have helped. Anyway, this fortnight the challenge over at Di's is "use a heart". I just love Di's little mice images and I can't get enough of them! This little one was coloured with promarkers for a change and the table cloth has been slathered in glossy accents, as has the little bowl. It took days to dry!!!!! The flowers are wild orchid crafts and the other bits and pieces were from my stash.

My card quota is growing daily! This time I have used a candibean stamp. Trying to practice my hair colouring technique. Here's the first one.

and here's the second one using a saturated canary digital stamp. Marker slipped on the short haired girl.....over zealous flicking technique!!

Sparkling challenge.

Oh my......another fortnight gone already, where does the time go? We have a new challenge over at Di's digi downloads challenge and this week it's time to get sparkly! So I thought I'd make another dent in my Christmas card making and believe me when I say it IS going well this year, with more made than I sent last year already! I am very pleased with myself! Do pop over to the challenge, as always there are prizes to be won and pretties to be adored.

Lovely day for a spot of crafting!

I don't think it can get any darker outside, for daylight hours anyway! We have got to have all of the lights on and it feels miserable, so what a perfect opportunity to play with craft toys! I have been getting ahead with my DT stuff so I'm feeling virtuous and now playing with some of my other toys. I love my digi stamps as you probably know and these new Saturated Canary images really appeal to me. This little lady was coloured with copics and the papers were from the pad I bought at the works. No stitching on here today but there will be plenty of stitched cards in the coming weeks as I love my new machine! The die is a memory box one and a Christmas present to myself! Santa doesn't always get me what I want and so I have to give him a helping hand!

Saturated Canary pretty.

Morning all, what a weird weather day today is turning out to be! One minute beautiful sunshine, then a massive gust of wind threatening to remove the garden fence, then  the biggest, blackest cloud ever and you have to turn the lights on. I don't really fancy going out in it to be honest but I will have to as we are missing an item for my home made pizza later on....the cheese! You have to have cheese on a pizza! Anyway, on to my pretty lady card. i bought the new digis from Saturated Canary from the very talented Krista Smith and I am slowly making up some cards for the birthdays through the year. I was lucky enough to have a new sewing machine for Christmas :0). I was so happy! It's whizzingly fast, but quiet and I confess it's a lidl model, so wasn't expensive, but does the job and hubby is so pleased that it's not as loud or indeed as heavy as my old one...having said that I'm not getting rid of the old one just yet, we went through uni together and I made some of my clothes on it as well as masses of other things and as much as I love my new one, what if it packs up?? The newer model has everything kind of build in, so it's not going to stand the test of time I'm sure! Call me a cynic, but modern things just don't last like the old stuff. Anybody agree with that?

Moving swiftly on to my card, I have used copics to colour her, a range of dies and some embellishments from the ribbon girl. The papers, ribbon and button came from the works. I have been pretty impressed with their stuff recently, as they have had some great embellishments, plus you get loyalty points, which equals money back. Hope you like her. xx

Winter challenge over at Di's digi designs.

The weather outside is frightful! ( No snow but plenty of lashings of rain!) and over at Di's digi designs a new challenge has kicked off for the new year and we have Winter as our theme. The perfect excuse to get ahead with your Christmas makes! You know you want to!

Long time gone!

I hope that you all had a great Christmas and that Santa was kind to you. He was to me and he brought me some lovely crafty things! Dies being one of them! Here is a selection of both Christmas 2014 and a few Christmas 2015 cards, as I am being super organised this year and have made quite a few cards already! I don't know what's come over me! Probably the fact that I have been so flipping cold here without water and heating due to the boiler breaking down and that was weeks ago! And it's like friends reunited seeing all my crafty stuff again! It's finally been completed today and oh how lovely it is to be warm and not sit in your hat, scarf and gloves inside your house!So crafting is glorious!!

Waiting for Christmas.

I ordered the  Magnolia Christmas stampclub kit as I haven't ever been disappointed with these and this little collection was no exception. This is the first one I have coloured up and I'm really pleased with how she turned out.

Dust off the cauldron!

Another year flown by and another fortnight since Di's challenge! Phew where does the time go? This week over at Di's it's time to play Halloween! Spooky! This little sweetie is way to cute to spook though and Di has tons of Halloween images to play with and don't forget some of Di's stamps are available in rubber form too!

Elzybells Christmas

Ok, so I am very, very behind with my Christmas cards, so little time, too many to make, so I'm just going to see how many I do and not not stress myself out about it. I do love these Elzybells images and I'm going to be playing with a few so that they don't feel nelected. They are so simple and lovely to colour and they are great for paper piecing . I'm not feeling a bit festive , but hey ho, onwards and upwards!
