Fudge and friends.

Penny Black cards

Being a fan of anything cute I just love the Penny Black stamps and the Willow stamps of course! I also was lucky enough to have a new digi camera for my birthday so here are a few cards I made just last night! I have just coloured these stamps with ordinary watercolour pencils. I have used a sissix die for te flower, a pink petticoat sentiment and papers from my stash.

My spot prize! Willow sketchie blog prize that is!!

Oh I don't know what to say! Not only have I got a heap of cards to open tomorrow and presents and wine and more stuff in the post but today in amongst all my parcels was my spot prize from Sharon! Firstly she was very kind enough to send me her new download which is absolutely adorable and on top of that she has sent me this gorgeous collection of stamps. I don't know how to thank her really. I am very emotional at the mo anyway and I am just so overwelmed with this and on my birthday weekend too. It's made the whole turning 40 thing very special for me so thanks so much Sharon.....................you are so kind xx

Willow sketchie

Well I was playing with my promarkers and Daisy rabbit and I curled around a tiny cylinder of card and ended up making a fab little pen top for my promarkers!! I also think they would make great little finger puppets for nursery so might make up a little song tomorrow about five little rabbits who ate carrots all day..... Anyway, I then thought about the Willow sketchie and made a patchwork type backing paper as this weeks Willow sketchie had to involve using some sewing and buttons and started making a little bag to put my pen top in! By this time I reached for some wire and started winding this around my button and came up with a flower! I do like to play and play and play!! I also used a few freebies...the lovely Sally-Anne's backing paper from her blog and a freebie bird from Pink Petticoat. The "Happy birthday "was written by me with the bubble coming with the freebie bird! I really do need to buy some more Willow design stuff though otherwise Daisy and I might become fed up with each other at some point. Not for now though as I feel like Daisy could do with lots more card outings yet!!

Love to doodle!

Well, I have not long finished this little card and shhh it's for a craft bubble friend who doesn't ( I hope!) know that I have a little blog. It's her birthday in March and it's a big one. I have been using that sewing machine again! ( Seem to get these little obsessions every now and again!!) and I have used these digi images from the lovely Sally-Anne who was also kind enough to give me an award a few days ago which I have only just got around to thanking her for!! Sorry hun, I just forgot ( brain like a sieve you know!) Anyway, I cut around the owl's wings to make him look like he's hugging that cake for dear life, which I would do too if it was real!! Check out Sally-Anne's stuff she's so talented and her digi downloads are beautiful. The little cake was a pink petticoat image and as I said, is sadly not real!!

Promarkers!

They so need to be played with, but havinga bit of trouble with ink. I have been using Stazon but I have been looking for an ink that isn't going to bleed. I think the solution is something to do with alcohol...........and not me drinking it!!! Can anybody advise which ink they use with their promarkers??

Sewing machine!

I remember my Mum singing me this song when I was a little girl. She used to make all my party dresses and could run them up so quickly on her old machine. She used to make practically everything you could make with material on that and she'd had it since she was a little girl. I was just humming this tune and I thought " Why not dig mine out, haven't played on it since I was a student at Uni and used to make my own clothes!! Ha ha I don't think I could be bothered to do that now. Well, my BIG machine was well stuffed in the back of the cupboard so I managed to pick out my mini one instead and I had a jolly old play today!! I have used promarkers to colour the bear, chalks on the shrink plastic little dangly thing and crystal laquers and H20s on the Tilda image. The papers are either pink petticoat or hidden stuff that I found in my stash!

Dotties world

Here is a super quick card that I made with a download from charmedcards and papercrafts. I love them and I want them all as usual!

freebies!

Here's a card I made using the stamps that came free this month with Cardmaking and papercraft magazine. I used sakura pens on the butterfly which I made using two heart images from the set I then added wire for the body and feelers. I stamped the flowers, wired them ( sounds like I'm an electrician!!) and coloured them with the very lovely promarkers. I finished off with some fibres and organza ribbon. The backing paper is papermania I think!

Wow, I am astounded! I have been given an award by the very talented Linniepink. I mentioned helping hands in my previous post! Thank you for thinking of me! I have to give this to five other people but before I do this there are some rules.
Say one nice thing about the man in your life and list six best things in your life . Then this award must be passed on to only five bloggers!
Ok........... One nice thing about my hubby........he's always been there for me and supported me through some terrible times as well as good. Marrying him was the best thing I ever did and even though I hate football I still love him immensely!
Six best things:
1. Hubby
2. Family
3. My wonderful crafting friends
4. My crafting!
5. My blogging habit!
6. My friends.
My choice of only five bloggers is very difficult. You all have such wonderful blogs and you are all so talented!

Helping hands templates

I recently found helping hands templates on Linniepink's blog. You should see them they are so inspiring! Now, it's my first attempt at using these and I have to say that I have ended up with a really beautiful card which will make a lovely Mothers' Day card for my dear Mother-in-law. They have lots of other templates to tempt you.............that wish list just gets longer and longer!!!

Willow sketchie

Sharon has released a new download of Daisy rabbit........... and who could resist this gorgeous little bunny! I'm ashamed to say that I don't own any willow stamps or downloads and this is my first one! I am sure that it won't be my last as this one is just so adorable, go take a look at the stamps and downloads on her site and while you are at it, check out the willow sketchie! This weeks Willow sketchie required something that was doodled and something that was non flat and of course you had to use the sketch!!

I have decided to make my card 3D and I turned the sketchie around. I used all the papers and images from the willow daisy rabbit download I made the little pink flower using a heart shaped punch ( again to give a 3D feel) and the stem and leaves were made with some wire from my stash. I also punched out the flower pot. A bit of organza ribbon and some butterflies on acetate were added and a pink petticoat sentiments tag and doodled flowers and aperture opening completed the inside of the card. The outside of the card was less fussy so that you got a lovely surprise when you opened the card! I think that this could be equally good as an Easter card, although I would make the aperture larger to accommodate the rabbit. This card will be going to a good home to a little girl aptly named "Daisy"!

Just a little pic that I couldn't resist! My bro sent it to me and those little catty prints were made by our old cat Beau when he was first out this morning at my parents' house.

I bought some promarkers!

I did it! I bought some promarkers! I only bought one set to try and now I am heading for a slippery slope in buying more as I love how they glide and leave a streak free image. I think I need some more though as the set I got although it says it has flesh colours, they seem a bit too pink.........or maybe I just need to play around with these little babies and see what I can come up with. Let's hope the snow due this week is really heavy and I can't get out the front door!! Unlikely though, living as I do in Bath......it's too blinking warm here!! Can you imagine the bliss of being snowed in with a roaring fire, card, papers and promarkers? Better hope that the postman can get here though!!!

A month today I'm going to be 40!! Gulp.............it's so depressing! More white hairs than black ones, more wrinkles than on my bed sheets, still on the plus side ...another 20 years til my free bus pass!! Feeling in a nostalgic mood I have made a few Joanna Sheen cards and these little images cheered me up :)

Thank you award.

You know blogging is so much fun and such a rewarding experience. I can truly say that I have been fortunate to meet some lovely people on here, Wendy just being one of them. Many of you take the time to comment on my blog and as much as I try to thank you all for taking the time I never seem to be able to thank you every time that you post comments on my blog. Thankyou Wendy for this lovely thought. The rules for this one are that you pass it on to a few blogging friends. Here is my choice for those that comment most frequently on my blog. Thank you all though....
