New Di's digi challenge.

Another fortnight passes by in a flash, so it's time to check out the fun over at Di's digi downloads challenge blog! This week we are thinking thank yous and as you'll see by my post below I have a lot to be thankful for! Please stop by our blog and join in the fun, remember you don't have to use a digital image to take part, so we'd love to see your creations.

Flooding.

Morning all, what a horrid, horrid day here and the flooding has been terrible. It's been scary walking to work and seeing how high and fast the river Avon has got and how many people have been affected by it bursting its banks in places. My friend who lives at the bottom of our road has sandbags outside her house because the water level has risen so badly across the road and the drains cannot cope with the sheer volume of water, even hubby had difficulty making it home as the road leading up to our house was covered with deep water. We have also been carefully watching our back garden as the water cannot drain away effectively  and it has reached almost the top of our kitchen step, ironic considering that we live on a hill! Unfortunately one man lost his life and I am thankful that my brother made it back from the place where this happened in one piece. My thoughts are with all the people who have had their properties flooded and I hope tonight will not be as bad as they say it will be. We've been advised to brace ourselves!

Thank crunchie it's the weekend!

Well, I'm sooooo glad it's the weekend. It's been a week of "stuff" ! I'm still trying to make Christmas cards and I have some birthday ones to be doing too! Oh, busy, busy! Could I have more hours in the day please, but be sure to make sure that they are crafting ones and not working ones!!

Tilda in Purple!

The Christmas cards are growing and this little sweetie is already to hang the garlands on the tree. I have used non traditional Christmas papers on this one, but I think it works? The colours are a bit wishy washy, but hey ho!

Saturday 10 November 2012

New Di's digi downloads challenge.

Where are the weeks agoing? Before we know it , it will be Christmas. How are your Christmas cards  coming along folks?! Anyway another fortnight has flown by so it's time for a new challenge over at Di's digi downloads challenge blog and this week our challenge is " Fall colours".

Tilda and her little bear.

What has happened to our weather? Today has seen heavy rain, heavy snow and thunder? Has Christmas come early? I do hope not as I'm still making my cards! Today sees Tilda having a wee hug with her teddy bear. This little darling was fabulous to colour.

Saturday 3 November 2012

Saturday and all is calm.

I have been making some headway again with my Christmas cards. I'm really pleased about that! I know I'll probably think I'm done and then find that I'm not, but the intentions so far have been good and the number of made items is increasing quite well.......shame the housework has taken a back seat!! Still crafting or housework? Hmnn a difficult choice! NOT! Today's offering is a lovely Tilda! Yes you know how much I love this little lady and here she is with pretty hair!

Friday 2 November 2012

I love Promarkers challenge.

Well been having a bit of a clear out of my crafty stash....this merely involved moving things around I'm ashamed to say....not parting with anything, but I found my dusty promarkers and decided to have a play with them. I coloured this really cute Penny Black image and then used nitwit papers to make this simple card, that won't cost a fortune to post! I am entering this into the I love Promarkers challenge blog. where the challenge is cute.

I have been having a dig around in my craft stash these past few days and I came across this stamp, which hasn't seen ink for a long time! It got inked up and created into this:
And now I'm off to eneter it into the Penny Black challenge!

Juicy blueberries!

Here's a card using the fab alota rubber stamps. I acquired this little baby from my friend, Diane. The image was a dream to colour with copics and the papers are old ones form my stash. I am trying to use up my old paper pads before buying new ones.....it's not going well!!! I keep being tempted with pretty new ones!!

Monday 22 October 2012

Lili of the valley Christmas

So I have been playing with my prismas as well and I have come up with this cute card. The sentiment is a Penny Black one and the embellishments are from wild orchid crafts and ribbon girl . I am entering this one into the lili of the valley challenge which is anything goes.

Friendship card

To all my friends out there in blog land!xxxxx

Red Christmas

When I first saw this stamp, I just thought " I have to have that". She was adorable to colour and I had fun with  my new Martha Stewart punch around the page punches. I overdid the distressing a bit, but that's because I had  an accident with it!! I also think I need a new sewing needle as my sttiches are missing! Shock horror! Funny thing is, all those little quirks add to its charm I feel!

Saturday 20 October 2012

A Merry Christmas!

Here's one of my lovely new Tildas and I have gone for a dark brown chocolatey Christmas!

Friday 19 October 2012

Witch Tilda

Due to unforseen circumstances I have some time on my hands...a nasty bout of sinusitus has knocked me for six and I'm generally under the weather .., so I'm off work for a few days and as I have other stuff going on too I have blood tests next week, to see if the lovely doctor can find out what's going wrong with me. So I'm not fit to work and generally feel rubbish, but on the plus side gentle colouring in does not seem to be a problem and I have been able to make a few cards! Wish I didn't feel so rubbish, but I am grateful to be able to use my copics!
I have used a range of Magnolia stamps on this card, coloured her with copics and some stickles and the papers and sentiment are pink petticoat and these have been distressed with black soot. Cheesecloth and fibres finish it off with a couple of sizzix  paddlepunch bats! I think I just about have time to enter this card in the Totally Tilda challenge and the allsorts challenge.

Sunday 14 October 2012

Starry Tilda

I am trying to get myself into the groove again! I have made this card using an older Magnolia stamp and have added very little to her! Does it work? It's not my usual style as I love my embellishments.

Jingle Christmas

This little sweetie is from the new Magnolia stamp club kit that came out recently.

Saturday 13 October 2012

Saturday 29 September 2012

Merry Tilda Christmas

I am making a very slow start on my Christmas cards this year! It really isn't going well at all. This one takes the number up to ten and I have a long way to go before I reach my target! Anyway, she's been coloured with copics and I have been using up scraps of things! Her glittery, sparkly dress and hat sadly don't show though. I am entering this one in to the Totally Tilda challenge Bingo themed challenge as I have used, ribbon, twine and gems.

Animals acting like humans.

Our challenge over at Di's digi downloads this fortnight is " Animals acting like humans" so pretty much all of Di's lovely images fit this theme!! We are sponsored this week by Ribbon carousel. I have chosen to use one of Di's older images for this challenge as I have been wanting to use this cheeky chappie for ages!

Wednesday 19 September 2012

Oh Christmas Tree!

I acquired this gorgeous Tilda stamp from my lovely, much loved friend Diane. xx Another white card folks! Sorry about this, but I did say I was into this combination! I have done very little to it, only coloured with copics, a bit of embossing, some pearls, organza ribbon and memory box and marianne dies. Wish I hadn't given her a blue mat now, but it's growing on me!

Monday 17 September 2012

Another all white card!

Well I have been playing a bit and have come up with another all white card. This time I'm using one of Di's gorgeous downloads called " Hello Ladybird". Isn't she a sweetie? I have tried to make the image really stand out against the white. I have used:
" Hello ladybird" from Di's digi downloads.
Swiss dots cuttlebug folder
Marianne Poinsettia dies.
Doohickey leaf die
Walnut stain distress ink
Pink Petticoat sentiment
Papermania gems
Pin
Organza ribbon
copics
and a whole lot of love!!

Sunday 16 September 2012

Lili of the valley - all white!

Seems I may have found my mojo a little as I have been busy making a few cards for some events! My neighbours are getting married in a couple of weeks and this is the card I have made for them. I don't really do all white, so for me this was a personal challenge, but I actually liked it so much that I made a couple of all white cards and they were indeed quite all white to do!!
I have used a selection of copics to colour the image, some organza ribbon, a magnolia doohickey die, memory box dies, spellbinder dies and cheery lynn dies, also a cuttlebug embossing folder and walnut stain distress ink, pearls and diamond stickles.

The photos are looking awful now we are moving into autumn and the light is rubbish!

Saturday 15 September 2012

Mice, mice everywhere!

Hello all. I know it's been an age since I last stopped by and this is due to lost mojo and lack of time! This is a card I made a while ago but have not had chance to post on my blog and it's using a lovely Lili of the valley stamp. If anybody finds my lost mojo, please return asap!

Sunday 2 September 2012

Friends reunited!

Oh crafty stash, how I have missed you on my holidays! It's so good to be back really, less so with the return to work tomorrow but ho hum it has to happen! Whilst I was away I missed two of Di's challenges and I just didn't trust blogger to schedule them after the time I went on holiday and it all got messed up! So I missed the wedding challenge and the back to school challenge. The back to school challenge runs for two weeks.

Tuesday 14 August 2012

It's Lili Christmas!

Some lovely friends of mine recently took part in an informal challenge to come up with a Christmas card using a fab sketch. Here's mine using " festive fairy" from Lili of the valley. I bought the ribbon, twine, lace and corner die from the stamp basket. I can highly recommend their customer care.

Monday 6 August 2012

Whiff of joy challenge.

I don't think I have ever entered this challenge but this week I was a bit inspired to have a go because I had been wanting to ink up this lovely lady for ages that I bought from a dear friend of mine. Mwah.xx She has been coloured with copics and prismas and having completely ransacked my craft stash and ( shock,horror...actually thrown stuff out) I found some of these bits lurking in my stash and thought they would be perfick for my card. The papers are a combination of nitwits and pink petticoat and the embellishments are all left over bits that I have somehow accumulated and have put them to good use, apart from the cookie charm....I found a whole bag of them ;0) The challenge on the whiff of joy blog is hearts and kraft.

Saturday 4 August 2012

Bristol Harbourside festival.

Hmnnn, I can't access the CB website, my fellow CB chums! I was able to this morning but not any longer. So I thought I'd post my photos here. It was a fab festival and these photos try to capture the sounds, smells and sights that hit my senses.

Sunday Greens with a bit of love.

See  I just love this inkadinkado stamp set and I particularly love this little snowman. This was a quick and easy make, just snippets of ...
