It's Lili Christmas!

Some lovely friends of mine recently took part in an informal challenge to come up with a Christmas card using a fab sketch. Here's mine using " festive fairy" from Lili of the valley. I bought the ribbon, twine, lace and corner die from the stamp basket. I can highly recommend their customer care.

Whiff of joy challenge.

I don't think I have ever entered this challenge but this week I was a bit inspired to have a go because I had been wanting to ink up this lovely lady for ages that I bought from a dear friend of mine. Mwah.xx She has been coloured with copics and prismas and having completely ransacked my craft stash and ( shock,horror...actually thrown stuff out) I found some of these bits lurking in my stash and thought they would be perfick for my card. The papers are a combination of nitwits and pink petticoat and the embellishments are all left over bits that I have somehow accumulated and have put them to good use, apart from the cookie charm....I found a whole bag of them ;0) The challenge on the whiff of joy blog is hearts and kraft.

Mystical creatures at Di's digi designs.

Morning all. we have a new challenge over at Di's digi designs and this week it's mystical creatures. This gives you huge scope. I wish we could identify the mystical sock stealing creature. Does anybodyelse get visited by him? I'm sure I wear pairs of socks, but by the time I get to put them away after washing, the pairs are often no longer any more. Anyway, this week we have been sponsored by Joanna Sheen and I have used this lovely new stamp from Di's digis. Isn't she adorable? She has been glittered within an inch of her life and coloured with a large collection of prisma pencils.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges.

Phindy's Friday place - button it
Papertake Monday - All things girlie
Digi doodle -  Anthing goes
Poodles Parlour - Use a digi image.

Whiff of joy beauty

I love these whiff of joy stamps as they are so beautiful. This one has been coloured with promarkers. the sentiment is a stampin up one.

Pollycraft beauties.

Awh I was so sad to hear that Pollycraft closed as I loved their digis. I see that they can be purchased elsewhere now which is good to know. Here's two I made this weekend.

Seaside Tilda

Here's a little Tilda dreaming of being by the sea. Don't we all wish that? Still the sun has come out to play for a bit today!
I am entering this one in to the Totally Tilda challenge. She has been coloured with copics.

Dreaming of summer??

It's still raining here as it has been FOREVER, so I have made a card to remind you all what summer looks like. Remember when we used to wear short sleeves and sunhats and could sit outside enjoying the weather? I know it's a distant memory! It did happen once upon a time! So here to cheer you all up is one of Di's gorgeous digis, coloured with prisma pencils. I'm so out of practice with these babies and I had forgotten how much I love them! Papers were freebies from a cardmaking magazine. Everything else is from my stash.

Missed challenge.

I sadly missed Di's last challenge, but I did create a card for it, so thought I'd post it anyway!

Summertime at Di's digi challenge.

Well I'm back from my holidays now and we did make it on to the beach once, where my little nephew experienced sand everywhere for the first time. It was so sweet he just loved it. So it's quite fitting today to use the lovely Izzy image on my card from Di's digis with fab blue sea and lovely sand! Do pop over and join our challenge and visit my other teamies for some fab inspiration.
I am also entering this sweetie into the following challenges.

Elzybells cards.

I was peeking through my Elzybells stamp collection last night and I confess to being a bit " Oh I'd forgotten about that one" and so I came up with these quickies.

They are so plain and simple, no embellishing just coloured and stamped sentiments. I must be losing my touch!

Apologies..

I have had a disastrous weekend! It's been a catalogue of frustrations and difficulties and I went off to Cornwall to have a great weekend with family and friends but injuries, a death, and illnesses, not to mention rain  and missed jubilee party  ruined the lot!  Glad to be home in one piece!

Anyway I'm afraid I'm very late posting Di's digi challenge for this fortnight, so apologies for this. Our theme this fortnight is male inspired and I have used this very cute bear with my mind's eye papers, some bakers twine, a button and of course my beloved stitching. think I might treat myself to some more crafting today just to unwind!

Penny Black Challenge - Monochrome

It's been a trying week all things considered. Our old puss cat went missing last weekend, then returned for one last cuddle with my brother and he called my parents back from holiday to tell them that old pusskins was going downhill and he thought my Mum and Dad would want to see him before he had to be taken to the vet. They packed up from holiday as quickly as they could and returned home. Sadly for us, we think he ( Beau our cat) just briefly stopped by and couldn't wait for my Mum to return and we think he has now passed away somewhere. We have hunted everywhere, we've asked neighbours, looked under bushes and called and called him. His bed has gone unslept in, his walkway to the orchard is growing over now and his food and water went untouched. So with a heavy heart we think he passed away on Monday afternoon. My brother is a proper old softy at heart, he used to go and buy him chicken and cook it for him when Mum and Dad were on holiday and spoil him rotten, buying him new things and giving out lots of cuddles, so I think it's only right that he came back to see him before he passed. Seeing an empty space now where he used to sit brings a lump to my throat. I was going to use a Penny Black cat to do the monochrome challenge for Penny Black Saturday, but I found it too painful so have gone for the mouse instead. It's quite a simple card, unusual for me.

Papers Pink Petticoat little hearts
Pink Petticoat sentiments.
Nestabilities dies.
Promarkers : Sandstone,Ivory and Vanilla only.
Button twine - Ivory  The Ribbon Girl

Sunday Greens with a bit of love.
