Chocolate and Banana muffins!

Something a little different today! Anybody for a chocolate and banana muffin? I confess that they are rather yummy and two have been eaten already. One by me and one by hubby. They are good for you as there is very little sugar in them and lots of banana!!!!! ;0)

Cabbage patch Tilda.

I was having a lengthy text chat with Diane last night and I sent her a photo of this card that I was making. She's so cheeky, do you know what she said? Oh yes, this is true......" Why is Tilda holding a cabbage?! "  I can see her point, the flower is not in proportion to her body and could be mistaken for a cabbage if it was green, but I'm sure she said this to try and get me to dislike Tilda! Well it's not going to work honey!! You know I love her too much!
Papers - stampin up Attic boutique.....very lovely and pretty!
Stampin up ruffled ribbon
Memory box die, magnolia die and marianne rose die plus nestabilities squares
Tonic butterfly punches,
Pink Petticoat sentiments punched with stampin up word punch. Pearls and button from stash.
Coloured with copics and a whole lot of love :0)

My sweet friend.

I made this card to send to my friend , Diane. I used a fabby Tilda, and yep it's another wiper card! I have really got into these, so you may be seeing a lot of them! Well when I actually get time to play that is! Work and unpaid overtime takes up too much of my precious time!

Love /Valentine creations at Di's digi designs challenge.

Oh, where are the weeks going? February already and after all the snow of recent weeks, we have had beautiful sunshine today. Slight chill in the air, but  an absolutely glorious day! Anyway this week over at Di's we have a fab new challenge and I have a new creation to share. This little bear is Bertie's bouquet and boy isn't he a sweetie? I have coloured him with the usual copics and the papers are old ones, dug out from the depths of my paper drawers! They haven't seen the light of day in a long while. Do pop over to the challenge blog to see my fellow teamies creations and check out the new mini DT call. Come and join us, you know you want to!

Apologies for the appalling photo, I can't wait for the light evenings when I can actually see what I am taking pictures of!

I am entering this little sweetie in to the following challenges.

Wiper Card.

Happy Sunday all. well it's been horrible, cold and still very icy out, so I have been staying in and crafting. I have to confess to really enjoying myself, playing with new shapes! This card is a Wiper card and it's the first time I have made one of these. I have used a sweet Lili of the Valley stamp, coloured with my copics, a Stampin Up sentiment, Old Blueberry Hill papers from Papermania, Memory box and Martha Stewart punches and dies and a recycled bit of sparkly ribbon from a Christmas present! Nothing gets wasted in this house!! Hope you like her!

Trying to be adventurous!

This year I have set myself the mini challenge of trying out different card shapes and types. I bought myself a scorpal buddy ( Love it) and I have been playing with various folds. I also bought some Magnolia stamps in the January sales, so I have a lot of lovely things to play with.....I shall be playing after I have posted here and had a spot of lunch as I have got up early this morning, completed household chores and am not setting foot outside the door !! It's still treacherous! The children are enjoying it...but I'm not! Still it's an excuse to saty in the warm, put on some music and craft to my heart's content!
So first up is my cascade card effort!
I have used an older Magnolia image, coloured with copics, flowers from my friend Diane, for Christmas, an old Marianne die, Magnolia stamped sentiment and pin from Wild Orchid crafts. Can't remember where the papers came from!

Next up is a gatefold card. This was nice and easy to make! Very little effort required!

And finally a criss cross card. this took the longest to make as it involved sewing and measuring!
All very different for me! The embossing folder is from Crafts too and was a new one for Christmas and the stamp is also a new one, Bought with Christmas money! It's been simply embellished and very carefully coloured!
I'm still in Christmas mode, aren't I?! All this frosty, snowy weather though just makes me feel quite festive! Bring out the choccies!!!

Brr it's cold outside....Di's digi designs challenge.

Oh my it's cold outside and the snow is only mildly beginning to thaw! It was quite a trek to work yesterday, I had to walk such a long way! So this week's Di's challenge is very appropriate! Remember, you don't have to use anything digital but we love it if you do and very aptly this week our challenge is "Winter" I don't think we could have timed this any better, do you? So get the glitter and sparkle out and make another Christmas card, if you so wish, think how organised you'll be for Christmas 2013!
Here's mine using this so sweet image from Di's. The snowflake die was new fort Christmas from the very lovely Diane and don't you just love the white stuff? I mean the embossing not the snow! Not looking forward to the journey to work on Monday if this hangs around!
I am entering this one in to the following challenges:
Papertake weekly - Baby it's cold outside
Creative card crew - Snow and Ice
Cards galore - Anything goes

Promising a rose garden!

Here is my first make of 2013! I have really struggled to get back into my card making even though I had some truly fabulous crafty gifts for Christmas. It's shocking that I can't seem to be motivated. I'm not totally happy with this one, but here it is anyway.

More Lili of the Valley

Tilda and Edwin for Christmas

Pretty Purple

Missing for a while.

Oh dear, I have been missing longer than I thought. I have had so much stuff going on lately that I don't know if I'm coming or going. I have had trouble with my eye, much better now though. Thanks for all your well wishes! I appreciate it. I still have some stuff going on, but it's more manageable now and I don't feel so overwhelmed by it all. With all my stuff going on I have missed quite a few of Di's challenges, so I apologise for my less than committed dedication to the challenge blog, but I did make things , even though I didn't post them here or comment on any of the entrants.... So first up are my missing creations...sorry Di!

New Di's digi challenge.

Another fortnight passes by in a flash, so it's time to check out the fun over at Di's digi downloads challenge blog! This week we are thinking thank yous and as you'll see by my post below I have a lot to be thankful for! Please stop by our blog and join in the fun, remember you don't have to use a digital image to take part, so we'd love to see your creations.

Flooding.

Morning all, what a horrid, horrid day here and the flooding has been terrible. It's been scary walking to work and seeing how high and fast the river Avon has got and how many people have been affected by it bursting its banks in places. My friend who lives at the bottom of our road has sandbags outside her house because the water level has risen so badly across the road and the drains cannot cope with the sheer volume of water, even hubby had difficulty making it home as the road leading up to our house was covered with deep water. We have also been carefully watching our back garden as the water cannot drain away effectively  and it has reached almost the top of our kitchen step, ironic considering that we live on a hill! Unfortunately one man lost his life and I am thankful that my brother made it back from the place where this happened in one piece. My thoughts are with all the people who have had their properties flooded and I hope tonight will not be as bad as they say it will be. We've been advised to brace ourselves!

Tilda in Purple!

The Christmas cards are growing and this little sweetie is already to hang the garlands on the tree. I have used non traditional Christmas papers on this one, but I think it works? The colours are a bit wishy washy, but hey ho!

Tilda and her little bear.

What has happened to our weather? Today has seen heavy rain, heavy snow and thunder? Has Christmas come early? I do hope not as I'm still making my cards! Today sees Tilda having a wee hug with her teddy bear. This little darling was fabulous to colour.

Saturday and all is calm.

I have been making some headway again with my Christmas cards. I'm really pleased about that! I know I'll probably think I'm done and then find that I'm not, but the intentions so far have been good and the number of made items is increasing quite well.......shame the housework has taken a back seat!! Still crafting or housework? Hmnn a difficult choice! NOT! Today's offering is a lovely Tilda! Yes you know how much I love this little lady and here she is with pretty hair!

I love Promarkers challenge.

Well been having a bit of a clear out of my crafty stash....this merely involved moving things around I'm ashamed to say....not parting with anything, but I found my dusty promarkers and decided to have a play with them. I coloured this really cute Penny Black image and then used nitwit papers to make this simple card, that won't cost a fortune to post! I am entering this into the I love Promarkers challenge blog. where the challenge is cute.

Penny Black Challenge.

I have been having a dig around in my craft stash these past few days and I came across this stamp, which hasn't seen ink for a long time! It got inked up and created into this:
And now I'm off to eneter it into the Penny Black challenge!

Juicy blueberries!

Here's a card using the fab alota rubber stamps. I acquired this little baby from my friend, Diane. The image was a dream to colour with copics and the papers are old ones form my stash. I am trying to use up my old paper pads before buying new ones.....it's not going well!!! I keep being tempted with pretty new ones!!

Red Christmas

When I first saw this stamp, I just thought " I have to have that". She was adorable to colour and I had fun with  my new Martha Stewart punch around the page punches. I overdid the distressing a bit, but that's because I had  an accident with it!! I also think I need a new sewing needle as my sttiches are missing! Shock horror! Funny thing is, all those little quirks add to its charm I feel!

A Merry Christmas!

Here's one of my lovely new Tildas and I have gone for a dark brown chocolatey Christmas!

Witch Tilda

Due to unforseen circumstances I have some time on my hands...a nasty bout of sinusitus has knocked me for six and I'm generally under the weather .., so I'm off work for a few days and as I have other stuff going on too I have blood tests next week, to see if the lovely doctor can find out what's going wrong with me. So I'm not fit to work and generally feel rubbish, but on the plus side gentle colouring in does not seem to be a problem and I have been able to make a few cards! Wish I didn't feel so rubbish, but I am grateful to be able to use my copics!
I have used a range of Magnolia stamps on this card, coloured her with copics and some stickles and the papers and sentiment are pink petticoat and these have been distressed with black soot. Cheesecloth and fibres finish it off with a couple of sizzix  paddlepunch bats! I think I just about have time to enter this card in the Totally Tilda challenge and the allsorts challenge.

Sunday, 14 October 2012

Starry Tilda

I am trying to get myself into the groove again! I have made this card using an older Magnolia stamp and have added very little to her! Does it work? It's not my usual style as I love my embellishments.

Jingle Christmas

This little sweetie is from the new Magnolia stamp club kit that came out recently.
